With C la Vie, Serge Aimé Coulibaly follows in a great tradition and creates a new contemporary initiatory tale to think about life and our way of being in the world in 2023.
The 9 performers meet on stage – a public square where anything can happen and nothing is lost. As they embark on this initiatory adventure, they invite us to come to terms with the disappearance of the old world. There is no initiation that does not involve the experience – albeit temporary – of an instabilitý of the world.
In this story, there’s no long series of diversified trials, no hero who has to overcome them, but a single great challenge: how to be together? At the heart of the journey of initiation that is C la Vie, there is the Encounter – with music, with the other, with reality, with time, with the planet, with the beloved, and so on. The only thing that matters is the event of the encounter and the quest to link oneself to the world.
C life shows us not the filling of a gap, but the radiance of a fullness of possibilities for being together as an antidote to this contemporary world sinking into its own destruction.
